Laura Alto

Laura Alto graduated from St. John’s University School of Law and has been practicing civil defense litigation for over thirty years. She is admitted in the State of New York and the Southern District and Eastern Districts of New York. She has substantial trial experience in personal injury and contract matters, as well as administrative hearings and arbitrations involving employment disputes, state discrimination claims, unemployment and sales tax issues.

Motions and appeals to the First, Second and Third Departments have also been a primary focus of Laura’s over the years, on issues involving the Labor Law, statutory “serious injury,” notice (premises, “Dram Shop” and dogbite), assault, property damage/subrogation, insurance coverage and indemnification. Happily, in joining MSSSV, Laura is reuniting with partners Larry Wasserman and Andrew Kaufman, who she worked with for many years in a New York City firm.
